& You wonder WHY FOX Sports is on my "F--- The Riviera" List:

Red Sox Nation-NY was f---ed out of Red Sox @ Phillies, ONLY because FOX Sports elected to carry Yankees at Mets. Jason Bay went 4/4 & scored 2 Runs(Mets 5-3 Over Yankees);

But, Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched a gem, carrying a No-Hitter into the 8th Inning, as the Sawx defeated the Phillies 5-0. Luckily, the sound on FOX wasn't transmitted inside of Professor Thom's. One wonders HOW MANY Gratuitous mentions of Derek Jeter's name were mentioned by one Tim Mc Carver on this evening(17+ by the 3rd Inning-LOL);

I monitored Castiglione-O'Brien via MLB.Com & WRKO Feed, so I heard the No Hitter being broken up. It was NOT fun being linked to a game on FOX where the Owners of a Certain NL Team at Citi Field are so f---ing incompetent;

Combined with iMovie HD & iPhoto '09 and the Discovery Of Vimeo, my story can be told, proving that You Tube is NOT the Only Game In town;

A HOLY DAY Of Obligation, except in 15 Western US States, where this day is transferred to this Sunday:

Impossible in many cases to get to Mass, because the Mass Schedule is often the same as the WEEKDAY Schedule;

So to you in NYC, I suggest St. Agnes-East 43rd Street, where Masses began at 7:00AM, running every Half Hour up to the 8:30AM Mass, then Masses at 12Noon, 12:30PM, 1:00PM & 1:30PM, then at 5:15PM & the High Mass at 6:00PM. Ten Masses today & yesterday's 5:15PM Mass, makes for a total of 11 Masses;

I'm getting ready to head there now;

It's NOT the same as when EVERY Parish ran a Mass Schedule on its' Sunday Schedule. It's a different schedule today;

Could it be the Artificially Induced Priest Shortage?

Vimeo Brings Videos Up A Few Notches

In the Case of Vimeo , it must be their Codec Renditions, as a video, uploaded at 320x240, is recoded at 352x288, making for a clearer picture, with a 12.2 Megapixel Digital Camera, capable of shooting videos:

I take these videos and embed them on this blog. They're the same quality as Vimeo;

Now over on You Tube , I upload the video and for some strange reason, colors fade or the video looks fuzzy. It must be their codec renditions. 320x240 does NOT look sharp at all. One wonders which level it may have been taken DOWN to. I only upload to You Tube for comparisons sake. While You Tube Videos move more-quickly, the quality looks both fuzzy & scratchy, not to mention discolored in more than a few cases;

It's WHY Vimeo hosts my videos. On the 25 Seconds of Escalation Video, the colors looked right whereas on You Tube, some of the color from a distance was not rendered properly. At the end of one subway platform, the Orange color was seen on Vimeo, whereas it wasn't seen on You Tube, the home to many Juvenile Videos of little to NO Quality;

Ernie was with the Orioles from 1954 to 1959. This man replaced him in the Radio-TV Booth from 1960 to the end of 1961.

Sure enough, he was with the Mets from 1962 to 2003, after 2 Years in Baltimore & 6 Seasons with The Red Sox.

Clue: "Heeeeeeeee Struck Heeeem Out.";

Robert Allen "Bob" Murphy, everyone's favorite Mets "Irish Night" Broadcaster.

"Murph" passed away almost 6 Years Ago.

Ernie Harwell-He Called Those Games

Ernest Harwell, a Man who called Baseball for Longer than many, Passed on Today.

He mostly called Detroit Tigers Games, but also called Orioles Games & Games involving the Brooklyn Dodgers & New York Giants. So Ernie began his Baseball Game Calling Career in a Booth once home to Walter Lanier "Red" Barber & STILL Home to Vincent Scully, hence he began in Brooklyn, went on to the Polo Grounds in Manhattan & then on to Baltimore & Finally the Tigers in Detroit.

David "Big Papi" Ortiz has slowed down over 4 Years since his 51 Homer Season in 2006, though he comes close to 30 Homers, like last year;

Mike Lowell & his hip? One wonders if the Cooler Climates like that of New England might be hurting him in the long run;

& what is it with the Red Sox that they're having rougher times with bad teams like The Orioles of Baltimore, who are playing almost as badly as their previous incarnation, the St. Louis Browns?
