There Are Two MLB Broadcasters I've Known With Lung Cancer

Note-Both Were HEAVY Smokers:

For 6 Seasons in Boston, 2 In Baltimore and 42 Seasons with The Mets, Robert Allen(Bob)Murphy, gave many a Happy Recap, in New England, in Maryland and all over NY-NJ-CT. His call on WHN 1050 in 1986(Game 6 in the 1986 World Series in The 10th Inning), was the Highlight of his Broadcasting Career. Murph was "The Voice Of Summer In NY". Murphy, as it turned out, was a Heavy Smoker. Bob retired after the '03 Season. Bob died from Lung Cancer in August, '04, at 80;

Late in '08, Jerry Remy had Lung Cancer Surgery. He was recovering, when he caught an Infection and has suffered from Pneumonia. He's at Home and in The Battle Of His Life, here in '09. And Remy is ONLY 56 Years Young;

I miss Ol' Murphy. I already miss Remy;

Murphy Never Made it To Citi Field. Remy, at least, got to see Citi Field, during the 2 Game Exhibition Openers;

It's a rough Season;

Gerald Peter Remy has more than a case of Pneumonia. According to "Call Of The Green Monster", Mr Remy has Cancer and is battling that at home:

I, 1st watched Jerry on FOX Saturday Baseball, in 2000. He was a Joy, then and NOW;

NESN Looks Strange-Sorta Like tbs

Don Orsillo, with goatee, is without RemDawg. RemDog is ill. A tbs colleague, Buck Martinez, who also works for MASN, is filling in for RemDawg. And Big Papi has no pop in his bat. Wakey is on the mound for the Red Sox in Tampa Bay.

On Broadcasters Of Yankees Red Sox And Later On Mets Red Sox

Here in NYC, where, believe it or NOT, there are MANY Red Sox Fans, we had NO Remy and no "Announcer Boy" Orsillo, this weekend:

We had Kay(As In Michael), this past Friday. We all put up with -uck and Mc Cavah(Triple Ouch), on Saturday. We shall have to endure Miller(Who isn't bad), H O F Morgan(Please, NO) and "Costanza"(Steve Phillips);

In The Mets at Red Sox Series, we will have N E S N at no time, except Pre-Game. BUT, the S N Y Crew of Gary Cohen, Ron(From Worcester)Darling, and Keith Hernandez, will be entertaining and NOT Annoying, providing humor and intelligent analysis. Bill Webb directs these games(Unfortunately, he also directs -uck and Mc Cavah on FOX). The 3rd Game will be produced by S N Y on PIX 11;

tbs(Very Funny)will carry the 3rd Game, BUT I don't care to listen to Chip Caray, not even a quarter as entertaining as his grandfather, Harry;

The 3rd Weekend Of May, should be entertaining;

NESN or New England Sports Network, is the TV Home of The Boston Red Sox. There was a Game on that channel, scheduled for 1:10PM, EDT, only to be seen on Tape Delay @ 8PM EDT:

Very Funny, NESN-luckily we @ Professor Thom's did put on a Baseball Game, The Mets & Astros on the CW11-NY;

We all hate being forced to wait for our dose of RemDawg & DO, &, Yes, Many of us miss Tina Cervasio, the Nation's Favorite Jersey Girl;

Today's Red Sox-Mets Match is on SNY @ 1:00PM, as well as MLB-TV. SNY is NOT YES(Yankees Entertainment Sucks), so you can watch it without losing your lunch;
