The CHB Says NOTHING

http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2009/07/31/suffering_from_roid_rage/
Dan Shaughnessy of The NY Times-Owned Boston Globe, known to Red Sox Aficionados as "The Curly Haired Bastard", a proverbial throwback to Dick Young and his heyday with the NY Daily News & NY Post, is giving his take on the recent revelation that David Ortiz tested positive in 2003 for Steroids.

In regards to this story, I'm wondering WHY nothing about the way Protein Drinks are made in the Dominican Republic, is investigated or mentioned.

The DR is NOT the United States, in any way, shape or form. The DR produces some amazing MLB Players. Their Neutraceutical and Pharmaceutical Standards are quite-different from the USA. That is a question which must be investigated, especially if, as David Ortiz stated, he was consuming Protein Shakes.

The CHB does work for a NY Times Subsidiary. He just might be repeating the "Company Line."

As Usual, Dan says NOTHING.

The 17% Solution Speaks To Save Their Paper

The 17% Solution is a renowned, abeit Liberal Newspaper of the Broadsheet Variety. They are partners in New England Sports Ventures. But their primary business is the News:

They are, I guess, trying to revive their flopping revenues. They have reported a leaked story that Sr David Ortiz and that Putz, Manny Ramirez, both failed a 2003 Steroid Test. Manny did get caught earlier this year with a banned substance in his system & received a 50 Game Suspension;

The Paper is The New York Times, the "Grey Lady of Times Square" & Owner of The Boston Globe;

With the revelations of Messrs Ortiz & Ramirez & their 'roid Test Troubles, will the next FAWX Telecast be filled with 8 Innings of Patter from two guys who're on the Professor Thom's Sanctioned "F--- The Riviera List"? Bet on it. -uck & Mc Cavah are going to be on all cylinders with this story, until people turn off their sets to go do something else;

One wonders what substance Papi used. It's up to him to come clean;

Changes In Printed Word Media-The NY Times

The Era of The Broadsheet Newspaper is fading away. I received news that the NY Times is about to stop printing:

You read me correctly-''All The News That's Fit To Print'', soon will not be printing. The newspaper business in NYC, is getting smaller;

I was a child of 7 in Brooklyn, & remember the following newspapers;
The NY Daily News, The NY Mirror, The NY World Telegram & Sun, the LI Press, the NY Journal-American, The NY Herald-Tribune, The NY Post, and the NY Times. This was a great newspaper town before the big newspaper strike, in 1962;

The Mirror folded in 1964. The Journal-American, World Telegram & Sun & Herald Tribune merged to become the NY World Journal Tribune. It folded in 1966. The Long Island Press folded around 1976;

One hardy survivor of the print wars, has published continuously since 1801. The NY Post, a tabloid, used to be an evening paper. It used to be Liberal, until K. Rupert Murdoch became Publisher, under News Corporation;

The NY Daily News soldiers onward, every morning, as does the NY Post, as both are tabloids;

With the reported passing of the NY Times, NYC will be a tabloid town, with Newsday-NYC, in the mix;

I feel for the printers and drivers, who'll be hurt in this change. I find it kind of strange that the NY Times built a huge printing plant in College Point-Queens, as soon there will be no use for it;

The Red Sox Ownership, includes a 17% Ownership by The NY Times Company, Owners of Boston.Com & The Boston Globe. The Boston Globe is a broadsheet;

The NY Times still has the Fine, Classical Music Radio Station, W Q X R-FM, 96.3. It so-compliments the NY Times;

The Web is killing the fine art of the printed word;
