The Latest Vimeo #s For Long Island Championship

Are quite good. The fact that much of Europe & now the United States are viewing this portion of the Knights of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship on Vimeo instead of You Tube, shows the viability of the Competition on a Video Sharing Service, other than You Tube.
The Competition does NOT Need You Tube for viewers. Vimeo, Dailymotion & blip.tv are just fine, as well as ivideo.ie.
YouTube is overrated. You Tube is for people who have no conception of what a real video is about. You Tube is about people who want to brag about digits.
Dailymotion has been good for views+no idiots or assorted wackos on that service. Ditto, blip.tv! Only on that pile of cyber sewage where junk prevails, does one get all kinds of guff, especially from Brats who send Grandma to threaten you.
Sending Grandma means ONE Thing & that is "No You Tube For You."

Champions In Gregorian Chant

Has been put together & will be uploaded to Vimeo.com, later.
Both videos are part of the 2011 Long Island Championship Coverage of The Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship. As neither video has a view, both videos are being merged together, with "The Gloria" being sung in Latin.
Gregorian Chant With Athleticism seems to be popular on Vimeo.com. It will also appear on iVideo.ie, as part of a strategic synergy.
The Merged Video will replace the two videos.
Enjoy & Prayerfully Contemplate.

Gregorian Chant & The FT

Gregorian Chant & The Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship, go together nicely on Vimeo.com, particularly in Germany & The BeNeLux Region. In the case of 14 Girls Queens County Champion Lauren Longstreet from East Glendale, Queens, NY, only 15 days ago she had 15 views. Now she has 43 views.
This works well on Vimeo. This doesn't really go over on You Tube, where silliness reigns supreme.

The New Version Of The Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship Video Coverage

Revised as of Tuesday, September 20th, 2011, it will be done in a totally new way, different from the 2011 Coverage. Let's just say that Mobile Coverage is the New Way to go. Also, YouTube is TOTALLY out of the question.
In January, 2011, the Preliminary Round was carried on YouTube. YouTube is too big & way too cluttered. YouTube is overcrowded with loads of Videos about everything from Conspiracies to Utter Idiots. Often, the Intelligently Made Videos are ignored in favor of Sheer Junk. The Show "Fred" has more parodies than one can shake a stick at. Many of them are in bad taste.
That will change in the 2012 Preliminary Round, when VideoBam, designed for both Desktop Computers & Mobile Devices(iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch), will carry coverage over the VideoBam Site & over "The Kenmore Corona Report" in HD 720p. This method gives the Competition Coverage some local flavour.
The Council Round will be seen over blip.tv, as it was in January, 2011. This service allows for iTunes Downloads of the segments, which can be viewed over the iPhone/iPod Touch & iPad.
The District 28Queens Competition will be carried by DailyMotion.com in HD720p, viewable on Desktop or on iOS, Android, Blackberry & Windows Phone 7 Devices, including Zune.
Queens County Championship will be on Vimeo.com, viewable on Desktop or on iOS, Android, Blackberry & Windows Phone 7 Devices. Vimeo also has a great video player.
Long Island Championship Final is on Viddler.com, viewable on Desktop or on Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile 7. For iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, the SkyFire Browser will be needed to view this as Viddler is Flash Based Content.
Wraparound Coverage will be on Vimeo.com(Post Game).
There will be NO YOU TUBE, because of obnoxious individuals, who think that ONLY You Tube #s count. Besides, when someone tells you that he's in a K of C Free Throw in Nova Scotia, but turns out to be 20 years older & living in Ontario, it is time to stop carrying this coverage on a service, where Idiots abound.
This is a Premier Sporting Event. It deserves better than YouTube. I'm only too glad to be bringing it on intelligent services.
Enjoy!

I Don't Get This But

A Local, as in Forest Hills, Queens Based Knights of Columbus Council Free Throw Basketball Championship Competition, is receiving mostly Canadian Viewers. What happened to all those Queens Based Viewers?
Sometimes I forget that this isn't Public Access Cable Television, but rather the World of The New Media. Viewers pop in from any part of The World. Much of our Overseas Viewership is in Israel & Europe on YouTube. So the Definition of Neighborhood has changed from around the corner & across the street, to across the border & across oceans.
The "Neighborhood" is available at a click of a mouse or by tapping a phone app.
And they take the K of C Free Throw in Canada, about as seriously as Canadians take Hockey & The CFL.
This Neighbourhood is pretty interesting, Eh. The Country covered by CBC, CTV & Global is watching a little local competition, produced on an iPod Touch 4G.
Enjoy it as much, as I have enjoyed bringing it to You.
PS: We know that we'll have made it Big Time when Rex says something about it.

Spotted Some Sign Of Encouragement

Someone under the DailyMotion Name of "Joerocketmail", put together a nice little video about a Knights Of Columbus Sponsored Track Meet in Delaware County, PA, in 2010.
The fact that Joerocketmail posted that Video on DailyMotion, is a sign that not every Knights Of Columbus Sponsored Sporting Event, goes onto YouTube.
It is a good thing to know that I am not alone in putting a K of C Sporting Event on DailyMotion. In fact, it is on DailyMotion.com, that our best REAL #s for Free Throw Views, are on DailyMotion. The Higher #s on YouTube are as a result of Contestants & Parents doing multiple clicks over a 3 day period of time, just for 1 Round, to force continued carriage of the competitions on YouTube.
But, the #s on DailyMotion are very close to the #s on YouTube, without all the parental manipulation.
So DailyMotion actually leads YouTube in terms of real views. Real Views on YouTube are 398. All that numerical manipulation caused for all coverage to be delayed until the 2012 Long Island Final Coverage. DailyMotion #s are 843.
The ONLY YouTube Coverage #s which are moving upward is The Council Contest Coverage #s. If those #s are all in the USA, chances are that the videos are being viewed again in East Glendale & Middle Village in Queens. Last time this was checked, it was all USA #s.
DailyMotion & Vimeo draw all kinds of #s such as overseas & USA, which makes for a good mix of viewers.
Joerocketmail? You did well to put that video on DailyMotion, hence one notices your video. I noticed it this evening & the Video looks fine.

Red Sox 16 And NY Yankees 11-As A Fraternal Service During The NFL Draft-My Phone Went Dead From All Those Updates

Today was the NFL Draft, live from Radio City Music Hall. Funny, but because Cablevision Owned Madison Square Garden had gotten in the way of The NY Jets New West Side Stadium Plan, The Brain Surgeons at The National Football League Offices, moved the Draft to Radio City Music Hall. Only 1 Problem-Cablevision also owns Radio City Music Hall:

NY Yankees At Boston Red Sox was on FOX. Certain People ONLY Wanted The NFL Draft, perhaps for their Fantasy Teams, or for the NY Jets. So, as a Fraternal Service, updates of The Game in Boston, were provided by Mobile Web from my AT & T Phone, operating on a 3G Network, with Score Updates and Gameday Audio(MLB). I used the WRKO Feed from Boston, in order to avoid listening to WCBS and John Sterling, famous for such words as "The Melk-man Delivers" and "It's The Melky Way". O'Brien and Castiglione, were the duo I listened to;

The NY Yankees spent about 1/2 Billion Dollars in Off Season, only to look foolish today, with A J Burnett, folding like a cheap camera around the 5th Inning. He gave up 8 runs. Then, again, Josh Beckett was no great shakes either, giving up 8 Runs;

In The Bottom of the 8th Inning, Boston Scored 4 Times to make it 16-11;

Red Sox Relief gave up 3 Runs. Yankees Relief gave up 8 More Runs;

And my phone gave out;

Red Sox are 2 for 2 in this Series. With All The Runs scored today, something tells me it'll be a pitchers' duel, tomorrow evening on E S P N;

To my Brother Knights at Msgr Sherman Council, it was my pleasure to give score updates and audio reports via W R K O Radio. Now the Phone is charging;

By WHAT Standard Are You A Good Person-A Homily And Essay

Remember The Wedding Feast being compared to The Kingdom Of God?

The King invites all the Big Shots to a Wedding Feast(No, this is NOT The Opening Of $iti Field-LOL, and Jeffy is NOT The King Here{Mercifully}). None of the Big Shots wanted to show up, since the King is despised:

He tries the next tier of guests, and they tell the King to Shove it(These are NOT The Mets Fans who held partial plans at Shea Stadium-LOL). So The King sends his messengers(From what I gather, The Apostles) to get people to come to this event(WHICH Is Not The Last-Ever Game at Shea Stadium-LOL);

Finally, The Feast Is Held. The King Enters The Reception and notices a man without a Wedding Garment. He has the guy tossed out;

The King Represents God. The Wedding Feast represents Heaven. The wedding Garment represents Grace;

I was at The Installation Of Officers Mass at Monsignor Sherman Council-Knights Of Columbus #5103, yesterday afternoon. The Wedding Feast Gospel Led To A Very Good Homily by Fr John J Fullum, a Priest Who Gives Very-Memorable Homilies;

BY What Standard are you a Good Person? The World's Standard or God's Standard?

Imagine The Definition of a Good Person by Mets $iti Field Standards-You have a Luxury Suite in that ballpark. Who did you mistreat on the way to that "Standard"?

By "FOX Sports" standards, Joe Buck and Tim Mc Carver are "Saints", while driving people to drink(Heavily), after a dose of their Mind-Numbing Drivel;

And So On!

God's Standards are not Our Standards. His Standards Of Good And Evil are much-higher than our standards;

Famous October 4ths' And Personal Ones

On This Date in 1955, The Brooklyn Dodgers defeated The NY Yankees in the 7th Game of the 1955 World Series(2004 Explained 1955, Quite-Well):

October 4th, 1969, The NY Mets played in the 1st Ever N L C S and defeated The Atlanta Braves, 3 Games To None;

Note-NONE of these games were on FOX or tbs;

On October 4th, 1978 I was voted on to be admitted to Knights Of Columbus Membership, taking 1st Degree on Wednesday, October 18th, 1978;

Just some info over time;

Honours, Knights Of Columbus Style In East Glendale, Queens

Every year, at the last meeting in June, on the Cusp of a new Columbian Year, Msgr Sherman Council #5103, Knights of Columbus of East Glendale, Queens, has a Ceremonial Party to honour their own:
This year was a party that honoured not only members, but people from the Council's "Metropolitan Area", so to speak;
That Metro Area is East Glendale, Glendale and Forest Hills in Queens;
In the 1st Picture, a University Seminarian, living at the Cathedral College Residence in Douglaston, Queens and from East Glendale's Sacred Heart Parish, as he received a $500 cheque, in which the Council receives back from the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, 20%, as part of the Supreme Council's "R S V P" or "Refund Support Vocations Program";
In the 2nd Picture, were some of the Winners of The Knights Of Columbus Essay Program. The rather tall Gentleman is Ralph Kleemann, Past Grand Knight and 4th Degree Past Faithful Navigator, who is both Youth Director and Financial Secretary;
In the 3rd Picture, Grand Knight Donald Gander(Past Grand Knight as of July 1st), in the centre, himself a previous Knight of The Year, is pictured with a previous Knight of The Year, Ralph Kleemann and with the newest Knight of The Year, Mr Frank Gander, Don's Brother, in intense service to his Parish Community and Council;
It brought back memories of when I was in my last days as Grand Knight, honouring those people for their mutual support of Council and Community and Don went one better,which I appreciated watching, very much;
There was the party afterwards and, since the Red Sox Game wasn't available, it was a choice of watching the Mets on SNY or the Yankees on My9;
Neither game was worth watching. The NY Mets wisecracks were flowing, like "Stick a fork in them. They're Done";
Mets lost to The Worst Team in Baseball, Seattle, 11-0, while the Yankees lost to the Pirates in Pittsburgh, 12-5, for the 1st Appearance of the NY Yankees in Pittsburgh, since the 1960 World Series;
It was truly a Night To Remember. My Good Friend, the Faithful Navigator of Moylan 4th Degree Assembly, presented Don Gander with a 4th Degree Certificate of Appreciation and Don's Past Grand Knight's Jewel. This PFN also did the same for me in 1998;
It was a great evening;
To Dominic, himself a Past Grand Knight, I wish you well in this endeavor, as the latest Grand Knight in the Sherman Saga;

Mike Leggett-Past Grand Knight

Later, Gators!

Divine Mercy Sunday & K of C Super Weekend

It was a Marathon:

It had nothing to do with The Maras, who control the NFL NY Giants(LOL,LOL);

The 2nd Sunday Of Easter is also Divine Mercy Sunday, which was Promulgated a few years ago by Pope John Paul II;

This was a Veritable "Super Sunday" in Our Lady Of Mercy Parish in Forest Hills, on Kessel Street, between 70 & 71 Avenues, as Msgr Sherman Council #5103, known in Forest Hills as the Sponsor of The K of C Free Throw, for Forest Hills, Glendale, East Glendale, Middle Village & Vicinity, ran a Membership Drive & the #s look promising;

The Pastor, Msgr John Mc Gurl, native to Forest Hills, was encouraging us to come over to recruit Knights Of Columbus in his Parish. He's also seeking to take his 3rd Degree;

I was part of the Recruitment Contingent, along with other Council Officers & Past Grand Knights;

One Highlight of The Day was The Phillipino Mass & Party after the Mass. There was a Film on Divine Mercy in a Practical Sense on how the People in The Phillipines take care of their Elderly. There's a closeness Of Family in Filipino Society;

BTW, the Knights Of Columbus, are very strong in The Phillipines, since 1905;

On Healing & Curing, was a Homily for the 6PM Mass, as Fr Christopher from Nigeria, preached that Healing is not the same thing as Curing, as Curing is Medical & Healing is Spiritual Peace;

& some more people inquired about the Knights Of Columbus, after that Mass. It was a Good Day;

It had been 11 Years since the Last Membership Drive in OLM;

& it looks like we'll have Some More Workers For The Harvest;

A Digital Edition Saves Stamps

& saves paper. I also edit a newsletter for the 4th Degree & sent out a copy to 16 members of the 4th Degree. At $.41 per stamp, sending out a newsletter to 275 members is costly, so if more give their e-mail addresses, more postage & paper is saved+ savings on the cost of printing.

It's the 21st Century-Get used to it-One can read the digital edition on a computer or Cell Phone;

& iWork '08 will be what the Newsletter is written on. It's so-intuitive to use. Apple Makes it so-easy to do;

MD-1500-Some K Of C Free Throw Coverage & Much Thanks

I have a feeling that Jere Smith is something of an inspiration for all of this camera work, even if a lot of it is from a Cell Phone. The Bigger Project will come online in a week or so:

That'll have some contest highlights+shots from various sites of the contest+some commentary. Please note that neither of the Two Gentlemen From FOX Sports, in the above photo, will contribute any commentary, whatsoever, though they may be lampooned for their efforts @ a later time;

But, a lot of you have contributed to this blog from over the past few years, so I will mention You all, NOW;

In The Research Department, The Veritable "Encyclopaedia Britannica" of This Blog, The Redoubtable, Omnipotent Q, John B. Quinn of Midwood, Brooklyn. When something is wrong, I hear about it, forthwith from The Omnipotent Q. You're right about the Mets Deficit in 1969, as @ 1 Point, they were 9.5 Games behind The Cubs;

Jere Smith of "A Red Sox Fan From Pinstripe Territory", who got me to liven up this blog with pics, videos & illustrations. Of course with this eMac, running on 1 Ghz Processing Power on Mac OS X, 10.5.1(Leopard), it's much-easier now than when I had a G3 iMac, running on only 400Mhz;

Peter N of Farmington, CT, 12 Miles from Hartford, on how to keep writing about our "Olde Towne Team", & making it interesting;

Jim Sullivan of Watertown, MA, Also Known As "Suldog";

William Roger Clemens, who "Fitzy" sends a Mammoth "GFY" to, & so do I, just because...;

Kaylee In Phoenix, AZ, away from her native land(Boston), who, even in Illness, added so much, to uplift everyone's spirits;

Christine E, in PA and Laura in VA;

The Gang @ "Professor Thom's", who have given the World Their Own, Unique 7th Inning Stretch Chant of "F--- Kazmarek";

Amy from "Pasquinade", a Rhode Island Woman, living in Boston, adding to my sense of Snarkiness, in my rants;

The Boston Red Sox, for that Beautiful '07 World Championship, come hell, high water or Eric Gagne';

Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez & his LACK Of Clutch Hitting;

James Timothy Mc Carver Of FOX Sports, who has kept us bloggers, busy all year, with your memorable gaffes("I Think Youkilis would make a good #8 Hitter, With The Pitcher's Spot Due Up");

His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, for freeing up the Traditional Latin Mass, making it more-accessible, & of which I've been to Several Times last year and Once this Year;

The NY Yankees for choking in Post-Season, AGAIN;

The Riviera Cafe' And Sports Bar, for being The ABSOLUTELY WORST Red Sox Fan Place in either Boston or NYC;
To "The Dropkick Murphys" for my Newly Acquired Appreciation for Celtic Punk Rock;
To The NY Mets, who've shown me there is such thing as a Love-Hate Relationship in Baseball. It's where Fans Love That Team, only for the team to kick their Loyal Fans To The Curb;

Thanks To All Of You-It's been a Great Ride;

MCDXCIX-As Last Night's Darkness Turns To Today's Light-From The Patriotic Ball To The K Of C Free Throw

Around this time last year, I was at my 400th Post, as this blog has grown considerably larger, with illustrations & occasional videos, shot from my Cell Phone:

Last Night, The General Stephen A Moylan Assembly #715, 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus, honored their previous leader, The Past Faithful Navigator, Sir Knight Luther Mc Neal, a Man who served his Country in Vietnam, from 1963 to 1971, & continues to serve his Parish, St Catherine Of Sienna in Hollis, Queens, the same Parish where Al Roker J r, of NBC's Today Show, grew up;

We had a Maestro Of Ceremonies, whose humor has earned him the title of "The Butcher Of Bad Gags", so fun was to be had, as Honors were bestowed on Luther Mc Neal, a gentleman who enjoys Jazz;

One of our Group's Chairmen, S K George Luongo, had a grievous emergency in his family, as his mom was in Emergency Surgery. She was close to death, but reports have her in recovery & she's going to make it;

Santa Maria, Madre De Dios, Ruega Por Nosotros Pecadores, Ahora Y En La Hora, De Nuestra Muerte Amen;

This afternoon, for the 16th Time since January, 1992, Msgr Sherman Council-Knights Of Columbus #5103, East Glendale, will stage the latest Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship Council-Level Contest(FT XVI), @ PS 101Q @ 29 Russell Place in Forest Hills Gardens, in Forest Hills, Queens, not too far from the West Side Tennis Club, the Onetime Home Of The U.S. Open;

Highlights Of The Contest, Will Be Seen Later on This Blog. A Special 20 Minute Edition will be seen later this week, or next week on this site. For more coverage, go to http://www.rfredsoxnyc.info;

It's On This Night Of Wonder, I've Been Watching EWTN

You have read me, correctly:

EWTN;

NOT ESPN;

No "Sports Center";

Mass from The National Basilica Shrine Of The Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, celebrated by The Apostolic Nuncio From The Holy See To This Country;

This is NOT About Santa Claus;

This Is The Gift Of God The Father Of His ONLY-BEGOTTEN, Not Made, Son, The Christ, letting the World Know, that there is Hope, because of The Father's Charity;

The Music was Classically-Played & Sung-No Haugen JUNK- All Of It PRAISEWORTHY, as it should always be;

Msgr Rossi, the Master Of Ceremonies for The National Shrine Basilica, thanked EWTN for telecasting this Mass. Special Mention was made to The Knights Of Columbus, for paying for The Satellite Transmission of this Mass, throughout the World. Again, my eyes grew teary @ that Mention Of The Order;

It was @ World Youth Day, in Metro Manilla in 1997, when the Order got pressed into Service, as the Papal Mass was about to lose the Satellite Transmission. It was a HUGE Mob Scene. Somebody had to get to The Supreme Knight, Virgil C Dechant with a Cell Phone. Coverage was being provided by EWTN. It was 5 Minutes to losing the feed. Then, Dechant made the Announcement that the K Of C had authorized an extra $400K, to keep the satellite feed going. World Youth Day stayed on the Air;

& YOU think we're all about beer & pretzels in our Local Councils. Without The Knights Of Columbus, there's no cash to keep a Papal Ceremony on the Air, Worldwide;

Merry Christmas;

Venite Adoremus, Dominum;

To Those Ambitious Men Who Practically Run A Presidential Style Campaign For An UNPAID Position, I Ask You "WHY"

GET A LIFE-it's NOT the End Of The World. Are You doing this run for Altruistic Reasons, or do you have issues in your life, where you need Self-Fulfillment, not to mention satisfy your enormous ego?

You KNOW Things to be true, but your EGO comes 1st. It must be satisfied at all costs. You have an Elf, who yesses you ad nauseum. He wouldn't sneeze without your permission. Despite Permissions & Encouragement to the Contrary from the Home Office In New Haven, CT, your Elf, an Unfulfilled Sycophant, who you once described in UNFLATTERING Terms, while he was Grand Knight, complains of that particular event as "UNPATRIOTIC", in short, something which by crushing it, in accordance with your ego, is most-satisfying. Deciding to Play Napoleon, by Invading Your Newest Version of Russia, called East New York in Brooklyn, with programming, in order to antagonize somebody in Bay Ridge or Ozone Park, will lead to LONG TERM Damage & Disunity in the 4th Level of our K Of C Order. Funny, but this programming could've been put to use in your own service area. Instead, you use it to play cheap politics, ON THE ROAD. WHY don't you go invade Canada, while you're at it?

As to your Elf-WHAT Title Did You Promise Him? As to leading others to Dissension, in order to secure your Office, how long before you forget about them?

Who TF do you think you are? Roger Clemens On The Juice?
