Welcome To Nannyberg

I find it strange that One M. Bloomberg, as Mayor of NYC, wants to be everyone's "Nanny."
From Smoking Bans to Soda Crusades, this man wants the power to control YOU.
"Nicotine Blues" from The Vimeo Music Store, is an appropriate anthem for "Welcome To Nannyberg."

Apps Of Incredible Usefulness

I still find You Tube a great app for uploading a quick railroad video, as one which I uploaded, is getting a load of hits. Commuter Railroads get a lot of views on You Tube these days, especially MBTA Commuter Rail & the Long Island Railroad.
Vimeo has a great app, whether for uploading or editing, by titling & Indie Music. Indie, Royalty Free Music, is in abundance on this app.
The iMovie App is great for editing, titling & light , ambient theme music, as well as for uploading to both Vimeo & You Tube as well as for CNN iReport & Facebook. It makes uploading a snap.
Posterous is a great little blogging app which links my blogs together & syndicated uploaded videos. Lately, I have been sending video over this app to Blip & my blogs. Many video views are coming via Posterous Spaces. It is my primary communications app. It handles heavier files rather quickly. And it is free like the air. "The Last Lock" series about 3 Catholic Schools merging in Brooklyn, is getting more views now than when they were 1st produced. Another set of segments will be linked to here from Vimeo.
The DailyMotion Viewing App, allows me to view some rather artistic films Director David Lynch thinks very highly of Dailymotion. More DailyMotion Videos will be coming this way, including the 2011 Queens District 28 Portion of the Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship. This coverage is the only High Definition coverage of that event, not originating on You Tube.
CBC Radio & CBC News are great apps for News Coverage from Canada. CBC Radio is for listening to Radio, while CBC News is for video & breaking news. It was from CBC News where I received the breaking news that both Gary Carter & Whitney Houston had passed on.
tumblr is both blogging & social & one can upload both video & audio, as well as writing a blog.
That is all for tonight. I am getting sleepy. Good Night'

Blip & Vimeo For Documentaries

In March, 2010, I premiered my Blip. TV Show Page called "Lansdowne126-MMD Productions", & opened with a 5 Minute Documentary called "The Demolition Of Shea & Yankee Stadiums." It has proved to be quite popular on Blip. Blip has something in common with my opening my Vimeo page in that the same video opening Blip, also opened Vimeo. That 1st Vimeo Video is starting to get views after awhile,
That 1st Video was recorded entirely on a Samsung A737 Phone & Touched up with iMovie HD for Mac. The 1st Documentary looks primitive by today's standards, but it is being well received on both Blip & now on Vimeo.
The next documentary will be Catholic Related. It will begin in Richmond Hill & end in Forest Hills. It will cover how the Forest Hills Catholic Parishes came to be.
This will be on Blip & Vimeo. I would not have it any other way.

ShoZu App Quite Valuable

I bought this app, mostly for upload to DailyMotion, but it also uploads to Blip & other Social Media.
It uploaded rather quickly a video to Daily Motion. It also can be used to email video files.
Good App to have for multiple uploads!

Now all 4 Episodes are on blip.tv

On The World's #2 Video Sharing Site

There is an unfair rap about DailyMotion, in that there is erotic material on the service. But, there is a Family Filter on there, so one can safely watch content of a general nature.
It is also a site for creative pros, like Vimeo is. The 2011 Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship has thrived on the service. The fact that it isn't jammed up with other competitions like it was on You Tube, is the key to success in viewing #s. The Same Case can be made for blip.tv & Vimeo.
The Apple Store System did put on the Family Filter on DailyMotion & now videos can be watched & uploads accomplished. Apple's App Store does have the DailyMotion App, in addition to the ShoZu Uploading App.
DailyMotion is much better than You Tube, any day, with content of artistic nature.
