I Am From Red Sox Nation & Understand NY Mets Fans
It is quite Simple-I despise the NY Yankees & used to go to the Upper Level Seats, when they were Light Green, for $1.30, at Shea Stadium.
For this should be understood-NY Mets Fans have a 2nd Team, namely the Yankees Primary Enemy, The Boston Red Sox.
It was a weekend in Shea, in 1997, when the two fanbases, met up & shook hands on which team both sets of fans ABSOLUTELY DESPISE, The NY Yankees.
