Vimeo & DailyMotion Are In The Conversation
I was at Barnes & Noble-Forest Hills & found this fact to be interesting:
Vimeo is very-well known & so is DailyMotion. Why else would they both be Primary Networks for Knights Of Columbus Free Throw Coverage! The Same goes for blip.tv.
So WHY do the Local Yokels in East Glendale, Queens, DEMAND YouTube ONLY Coverage of The Competitions? I have always wondered about Jimmy Breslin's Fascination with East Glendale. Now, I KNOW Why he is so fascinated-he finds many of these people to be of so low tolerance of other's thought processes. That in Forest Hills, they are open to blip.tv, Vimeo & DailyMotion, I find it a joy to Programme to regions other than East Glendale, where there is much gnashing of teeth if an event such as the Free Throw, isn't on YouTube, where Quality & Intelligence aren't really tolerated. Talented Performers are more of a Vimeo Type of People. Show-Oafs tend to head to YouTube with their conspiracy of the day videos, or just being a vain a--wipe, who brags about being on the world"s largest pile of junk video service.
The 1st Round of The '11 K of C Free Throw, drew 506 Viewers. The 2nd Round drew 178 Viewers, a 65% drop. Yet, these East Glendale Know Alls, tell a Producer-Director that only in YouTube does one get #s. Yet, DailyMotion & Vimeo Views showed steady increases, with Vimeo showing over 600 Views & DailyMotion showing 560+views, both services dwarfed by YouTube, which has crept up to 762 Views+31 on VodPod, which #s are add ons for Long Island Final & Queens Final Coverage. Consider that blip.tv is the BETTER network for this kind of coverage, that drew 365 Viewers for Round 1 Coverage ONLY, East Glendalers are barking up the wrong tree. With blip.tv back in the equation, some decent work will be done with coverage. Sharing in ad revenue will be a good thing. LI Final Coverage will be added to Posterous.com, beginning today from the Vimeo feed. Council Coverage from the Vimeo feed will also be added. This is NOT an all YouTube Show. YouTube is sooooo yesterday, if you know what I mean.
Lansdowne126-MMD Productions changed the way the Free Throw is produced. YouTube isn't the only show in town as blip.tv, Vimeo & DailyMotion are any indication. Making it available on other outlets, will attract more viewers. Not everyone likes YouTube.
