Just WHAT Attracts People To YouTube?

If you remember the slick, candy coated world of the old AOL, then called America Online, I believe that you'll understand WHY.
AOL was easy to use & so is YouTube:
All your buddies are on AOL & everybody has a common interest;
YouTube is where your buddies go to for Video;
But, is it any good?
I have seen quality performances being ignored in favor of glitzy JUNK. In the case of YouTube, one high ratings performer receives loads of moronic comments on her videos, some of which will not be mentioned here at all, including veiled Death Wishes from assorted morons.
Many Knights Of Columbus Councils, Regions & Districts, webcast the Free Throw over YouTube, including my production company. Finding one of your Competition Videos on a Gambling Site, is not what you want to happen, but it did happen. I don't have this problem on Vimeo.com, blip.tv nor on
Dailymotion.com, where on these 3,Fine services, morons do not lurk & make hideous comments.
It sounds like Old AOL all over again. New AOL is nothing like the Old Version as they are a Serious Media Company. One can even have one's videos ported over from blip.tv.
Something tells me that when a company is too big, becoming much smaller is in their future.
It happened to AOL- It will happen with YouTube. Give it time.
