A Farewell In NJ This Blustery And Bitter Cold Evening

Passing Into Memories
Giants Stadium

It closed with the Jets defeating the Bengals 37-0, and the Jets going into Cincinnati next Saturday afternoon in an NFL Wild Card Game.

But thus passes Giants Stadium, home of Three Time Super Bowl Champion NY Giants.

By The Way, if you said that the 1st Champions of Giants Stadium was the NY Cosmos Soccer Club in the North American Soccer League, you would be right.

For awhile, a Papal Mass in 1995, was the top crowd in that stadium. Pope John Paul The Great offered Mass before 82,000+ people.

For I saw Pele retire from Soccer in 1977 @ Giants Stadium. The Master of Ceremonies was himself a Pro Football Hall Of Fame Halfback from The NY Giants, Frank Gifford of ABC Sports. Also present was Boxing Heavyweight Champion of The World, Muhammed Ali.
When I think of Pele's Farewell, I look back & remember the vibrant Ali and get tearfully sentimental about that day, as Ali suffers from Parkinson's Disease.

Those are the memories.
