Putting the smackdown on heresy since 1981 (when he became Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith)!
Funny, though: Pope John Paul II was Pope for so long (ascended the See of Peter when I was eight -- okay, now do the math) that I'm still not quite used to hearing Pope Benedict's name in the Eucharistic prayer!
I love Pope Benedict! May he have a long and blessed papacy.
