That was all DeMarlo Hale's fault. He sent Manny in when he shouldn't have. Hale waved him in from the start and it was very ill-advised.

No way are they directing traffic on Broadway in Upper Manhattan!
But the game had it's fortune told, after 3, when it was.....was.......5-0! Thanks Josh. My nephew is sitting on your first pitch fastball.
Hale has done a nice job this year as third base coach, far better than Sveum or Kim ever did. And you have to take your hat off to Carlos Guillen for making a fine play to throw Manny out.
I miss Send 'Em In Kim...that guy would just freak out...then he would inexplicably hold a guy for no reason...I think he tried to hold Manny at third once on a shot onto Lansdowne...
@ this rate, Beckett might host the 1st Annual WEEI Suck-A-Thon, if he keeps going like this.
