Dailymotion's Audience Is Quite Good

& the Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship, played in Queens, NY Neighborhoods, from Woodhaven to Forest Hills, to East Glendale & Astoria & finally in East Elmhurst, benefitted from being viewed on Dailymotion.com, as coverage was viewed in a number of European States, as well as much of Long Island, NY.
This coverage was not put through the "Stats Padding" of some families in East Glendale & Middle Village. Rather, the views here were real views. #s were consistent, with only a drop occurring during Queens County Final Coverage. There were viewers in Germany, France, Albania & Italy during the coverage, Dailymotion clips were even viewed over RTL-Belgium, of the Coverage, part of which was in French(Round 2-Queens, NY District 28). Only the Preliminary Competition was not seen on Dailymotion. That was Test Coverage, carried over YouTube & later on iVideo.ie. It was not my intention to carry any coverage on YouTube, after the Preliminary Round, but was told to carry Round 1 on You Tube, whose #s were padded over a 3 Day period, by assorted "Soccer Moms" looking for high YouTube #s. Any International #s on YouTube, came during The District Coverage.
BTW, The District 28 Coverage was broadcast in 1280x720 HD on Dailymotion & YouTube. Dailymotion had the much larger #s with 278 Viewers to YouTube with 155.
Dailymotion along with Vimeo, gave the competitions real numbers to work with. YouTube with the stats padding of families in Middle Village & East Glendale, did not give us any real viewers. This is WHY there will be no YouTube Coverage of this event, except that YouTube will make for a Very Good Information Channel, for advising viewers where to tune in to the competitions. YouTube will be aggregated by ShowYou.com, VodPod.com & iVideo.ie+Facebook & Twitter.
There is another change in How The Video Sharing Networks will work During the 5 Rounds of Coverage. Dailymotion will carry both the Preliminary & Council Competitions. Vimeo will be Home to Highlight Show in these Rounds. Vimeo will handle Exclusive Coverage in The District Round including Highlight Show. blip.tv will be used in Queens County & Long Island Final. Vimeo will be for Highlight Show during Queens County Final. Vimeo will provide full coverage for Long Island Final+Highlights & Interviews.
If there is West Point Coverage, blip.tv & Dailymotion will Handle that, with blip.tv as North American Feed & Dailymotion as International Feed. Vimeo will be Post Game & Highlight Show. Vimeo is also watched overseas. tumblr.com utilizes Vimeo.com Feed, as will ShowYou.com.
Dailymotion will syndicate feed via Twitter & Facebook from their iPhone App. Vimeo will syndicate to Facebook, Twitter, tumblr & ShowYou via Vimeo App. blip.tv will syndicate feed via Posterous App.
Segments of Coverage will be short just like at Long Island Final. Vimeo App will be used for recording coverage for the 3 Network Feeds, aided by Splice App. For Highlights, Videolicious App will be used.
And everything will be edited & uploaded from this iPod Touch 4G+Shot Vertically.
The Final Credits will contain photos & be carried over blip.tv, Vimeo.com, Dailymotion.com & on YouTube.com.
Let's just say that Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship Coverage will NOT be the Same Old You Tube Video.
Thanks, Amanda!
M.
