There was more in the case of iVideo.ie(232 views) than YouTube(59 Viewers). It was when it was discovered that YouTube is not the great competition view getter, that blip.tv, Vimeo.com & Dailymotion.com, be given shots to host competitions.
The District28Queens, NY Competition fared far better on Dailymotion.com, whereas YouTube.com is really "Been There, Done That". YouTube is for "Fluff Fare." The iVideo.ie experiment revealed that many people prefer watching videos on small, uncluttered sites. YouTube is both the epitome of clutter & a copycat culture, in short, banal.
Coverage in 2012 of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championships, will not follow everybody onto You Tube. There are viewers elsewhere & YouTube is overloaded with Free Throw Coverage.
Dailymotion & Vimeo will suffice for an International Audience, while blip.tv will suffice for a Domestic Feed.
