Lose & You Don't Promote YOURSELF-Not On YouTube
Now I know WHY the Video #s dropped like a Fly Ball to Luis Castillo, on YouTube in the District 28 Queens NY Round of the Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship. When a contestant loses a round, it is NOT a Time for SELF-Promotion, especially on Self-Promotion Oriented YouTube. No one wants to be a FLOP on YouTube, the World's Largest Cyber-Stage.
One contestant in the Council 5103 Round at Forest Hills, drew 102 Viewers in an amazing, Clinic Like Performance. But, by the District Competition, though she won, her performance was fair, though she won, hence she didn't promote her performance, so The #s dropped. Round 3-Queens County was on Dailymotion & there was Absolutely No Way it was going to be promoted because it was NOT on YouTube & it was too close a call for her, though she won the Queens County Championship.
Her family requested that in The Long Island Final, this Video is to be carried on YouTube. But, something happened. She lost her competition, carried by Vimeo.com, Dailymotion.com, & YouTube.com, & overseas by iVideo.ie. Hence, her YouTube Views were almost nonexistent. There was No Victory To Self Promote. But, she had a good # of viewers on iVideo.ie, without promotion. She had a few views on VodPod.com.
In a 2nd Case of a 12 Year Old Girl & her parents, she received 49 Views in the 2nd Round on YouTube, especially through Self Promotion+21 Views on Dailymotion without any self promotion. At The Long Island Championship, with her parents requesting YouTube Coverage, the girl lost this round & No Promotion of the YouTube Clip was done. Wherever Self Promotion of a Winner on YouTube occurred, the #s were there. If there was a loss, YouTube #s went down the tubes, with no self promotion. With Dailymotion for the Queens County Championship, no Self Promoters would use a Dailymotion Coverage Clip. It had to be YouTube or Nothing. I know of NONE who would use a Vimeo Clip, even in Victory.
YouTube, hence is about Self Promotion. Two of these Queens County Champions were overconfident unto the point of Victory & Self Promoting over YouTube. The #s tanked in a loss. In the case of East Glendale & Middle Village, numbers dropped in a loss.
Yet, over the other networks, steady growth in viewership occurred. It was about good programming & not self promotion, which takes place on YouTube. YouTube is hereby eliminated as a coverage tool. It's a "Me" Network.
Funny thing though-13 Boys Long Island Champion Jason Camus is "The Face Of The Vimeo.com Coverage." There was no self promotion. I like that.
