Funny, but these small gigs do add up

At least they feed well. The best gigs have paid well. The "Onion Sports Network" SportsDome on Comedy Central is one example & that followed with a couple of low budget paid jobs.
One film, I was background as a mourner at graveside & ate well. Two nights later I ate well & got paid on the spot, but I was playing a bloodied victim in a dream sequence in Long Island City. It was a Late Night Shoot.
Like it has been said, an army travels on its' stomach. Well, so do Performers & the crew.
