My Case For K of C Free Throw Coverage On blip.tv, Vimeo.com & Dailymotion.com
779 watched on YouTube in 4 Competitions. Yet, there are far superior options to YouTube.
Currently on blip.tv, one can download the Council 5103 Free Throw from iTunes via the blip.tv show page. On Vimeo.com, one can download the Source Video. On Dailymotion, one can have a real choice of intelligent programming.
Of course, I realize why certain parents demanded that the contests be on YouTube-it is to brag about #s on the World's Largest Service, even though #s aren't evenly distributed.
The Two Time Long Island K of C Free Throw Champion, Jason Camus, actually accounts for 12% of Vimeo Viewership, with over half those views coming from Europe & Asia. So Jason does have a following outside of North America.
YouTube isn't needed as the Competition can stand up on its' own & be carried on something other than YouTube. YouTube is "Training Wheels for Video Sharing." The 2011 K of C Free Throw Coverage from Lansdowne126-MMD Productions is the proof of the pudding in that regard.
