If you are buying a Mac for the first time and you have to choose between Microsoft Office:Mac and iWork '09, do buy the iWork, as MS Office Documents will be read by iWork Pages, Numbers and Keynote & you will save a great deal of money. One can even, for free, download Neolithic Office, which is good but not as intuitive as iWork.
