Mac Using Manager Of My 1986 Opposition
One Does NOT Know Who One Is Going To Pass On The Street, Particularly By The West 14th Street/9th Avenue Apple Store.
Here are the ironies of this situation:
I am a Red Sox Blogger, living in Queens, wearing a Boston Red Sox Cap, who was crossing 9th Avenue at West 14th Street;
The Gentleman had a fully tanned face, whose face looked rather familiar;
In 1969's World Series, he was the Baltimore Orioles 2nd Baseman & the last out as he flew out to Cleon Jones in Left Field, in Game 5;
He managed the Red Sox Opposition in the 1986 World Series;
If you guessed that the Gentleman in Question is Davey Johnson, he a Piece of Shea Stadium Irony in that he was both the last out of the 1969 World Series & Manager of the 1986 World Series Champion NY Mets.
This other piece of trivia is that his operation was computerized.
Davey Johnson, you see, was a Mac User.
