As To What I Use Video Networks For
I, by & large, am a Power User of Vimeo. Having said that, Vimeo respects Freedoms of Religion & Speech.
Now, for the occasional breaking news, I will use You Tube, as it is good for that.
For Important Events & Documentaries, I go with Blip. "The Demolition Of Shea & Yankee Stadiums", my 1st Quasi Professional Video, using a Samsung A737 Phone & BlueTooth to my old eMac, is my 1st Documentary. It appears on both Blip. & Vimeo & is 1st Video on both Video Sharing Services.
DailyMotion, the World's Second Largest Service, often gets a Number of Videos that are on Vimeo. It is also Home Network to The 2011 Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship in Queens, NY. They & Vimeo were the Networks of the 2011 Long Island Final Coverage of that event. You Tube also had coverage, but that wasn't really watched.
For the Web Podcast Version of "The Kong Show ", to be seen on QPTV, three shows are on Blip, DailyMotion, Vimeo & You Tube. The Top Service For Views is Blip, followed by DailyMotion, Vimeo & You Tube, in that order.
For recent coverage of a Roman Catholic Priest's 40th Anniversary called "XL", Blip got the call on this. Vimeo has side coverage. None would be placed on You Tube, as they treat the Roman Catholic Liturgy as a Commercial Broadcast, censoring portions of The Mass. I guess that Azerbaijan Video Market must be important to Google.
Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr & Google+ as well as Posterous are important for video promotion. It is how things get viewed.
