Why Two Networks For K of C Free Throw Long Island Final?
For The Long Island Final, Vimeo.com & DailyMotion.com were utilized as the Competition wanted to go to 1st Class Coverage.
It was time to show the rest of Knights Of Columbus that the event is not the Province of YouTube. These Two High Quality Services are NOT laden with sheer crap. People notice this and do watch in several countries. YouTube is not the only service.
The Vimeo Editing & Upload App, gave me the go ahead to post the coverage to a new audience. And it was a good audience, both in NY & Internationally. The same is said for Dailymotion. The YouTube #s declined rather sharply from Council Round to District & again at the Long Island Final. The only people wanting YouTube Coverage, were two families in East Glendale & Middle Village in Queens. YouTube may be loaded with K of C Free Throw Coverage, but the #s there are slight. The bigger #s await the competition on the other networks.
Now that two apps do uploads to blip.tv, YouTube is now only an Information Outlet for where to tune to competitions. YouTube is not always the best way & for that matter, there are far better alternatives for the Competitions to receive their proper recognition as a legitimate Sporting Event. Just ask those who still tune to iVideo.ie in Ireland, where the Huge Numbers are still accumulating.
