Andy Warhol-A Catholic Dimension
The noted pop artist, Andy Warhol, is perhaps more known for his rendition of a Campbell's Soup can and a long face, but here's something I never knew:
He quietly attended Mass at an Upper East Side Parish;
In later years, he created silk screen artistic renditions of The Christ, in regards to suffering and death;
Here, I thought he was an icon of Hipsters & now have found this out 23 years after his passing. The art reflected Andy's own thoughts on his own mortality;
