If one has iWork on their Mac, be sure to download Neo Office, a full suite of Office Functions for free.

Neo Office reads, exports and saves MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as in Open Office, Star Office and WordPerfect formats as well as PalmDoc.

iWork is good for writing and page layout, ad well as for presentations. But it helps to have Neo Office along for more complex files.
