MS Word:Mac 2008 Scam

There is a scam on the web where someone advises you how to get MS Office:Mac 2008. A site is given and key code is supplied. You take the free download which takes a few hours. The MS Office then goes in your download folder. You open the application and are asked to enter the key code, but Microsoft's download wizard will not let you enter anything after the sixteenth digit. As it turns out, it is a scam as Microsoft really protects their property in licensing the software.

Besides, MS Office isn't nearly as complete as Neo Office, which is free & does what MS Office does with greater functionality, including drawing and formula function. Then there is iWork, which rivals MS Office and is just fine without the high tariff.

Besides, MS Office is too bulky and far less intuitive, and made for professional office and artist types. If you have Neo Office, that's good enough. Even better is iWork '08 or '09.
